In this edition of Friday Download: New York producer Eddie Palmer and west coast “schizo” beatmaker Brett Zehner find the rhythm of our everyday interactions as The Fucked Up Beat. The experimental duo’s beatmaking process consists of parsing through field recordings of daily interactions, then weaving them with dusty jazz samples and trancing drums to assemble cinematic hip hop soundscapes. Their album Europa, an eleven-track collection of hip hop noir is available now via BitTorrent Bundle.
