The New Orleans guitarist drops his debut solo album via BitTorrent Bundle.
In this edition of Friday Download: Since relocating to New Orleans, guitarist Andrew Block has shared the stage and studio with the likes of NOLA legends Dr. John, Dumpstaphunk and George Porter Jr. His work caught the ear of GRAMMY-nominated producer Pretty Lights, who tapped the guitarist for his upcoming record.
From the studio, to the road, to a record deal: Block spent much of the last year traveling with electronic artist Gramatik on his 2014 World Tour. Soon after, he was signed to the Lowtemp Music label.
In between sessions and tours, the guitarist has spent much of the past two years prepping his debut solo release, You Can Only Go Up From Here. Backed by a band of New Orleans royalty, Block takes centerstage showcasing his guitar and songwriting prowess across the nine-track album, out now on BitTorrent Bundle.
